Transport in, around, to and from Koh Chang

Being only 300km from Bangkok, Koh Chang and the Eastern Islands could not be simpler to get to. The road is good all the way, there are buses running day and night and a regular air service brings you conveniently to Trat Airport.

One word to add; there are many ferries and many ways to get to the ferries. For locals traveling from Trat the preferred way is to take a songtow (shared taxi) from Trat to the Center Point Ferry. If you stop before the Center Point Ferry try to resist offers of help or the small passanger ferry. The Center Point Ferry runs to a regular schedule, sometimes 3 or 4 times an hour, and is the fastest way to get to the island.
