Renting cars and motorcycles on Koh Chang
Cars, motorcycles and bicycles can be hired from many hire firms and resorts. Cycling on Koh Chang is a real challenge!
You will find many motorcycle rental outlets along the main roads. You will be asked to sign a contract and deposit some form of ID when renting. Also check the petrol (gas) tank when you set out because it will probably be close to empty and running out on a steep hill in the middle of nowhere could well ruin your day.
You can get petrol (gas) all over the island either from gas stations (a few) or from roadside stalls selling gas from one litre bottles. More expensive than the gas stations but very convenient. As of October 20th 2006 gas costs about 27 baht / litre.
If you don't wear a helmet the local police will be waiting to fine you.
