The main beaches on Koh Chang are all on the west coast and are, from North to South, Hat Sai Khao (White Sands Beach), Klong Prao, Kai Bae and Hat Ta Nam (Lonely Beach).
There is also a small beach past the village of Bang Bao in the southwest of the island and a couple of others including isolated Long Beach in the far southeast of the island which now has road access.
All of the beaches are sandy strands in attractive settings, with accommodation and facilities. White Sands Beach has the most development and a wide range of dining and entertainment is available. Klong Prao and Kai Bae have fewer but larger resorts and still have a large range of restaurants/bars etc. Lonely Beach, whilst still having many rooms, has fewer bars and restaurants.
